The purpose of this partnership is to create comprehensive strategic plans and information, provide and expand the range of services offered to customers, and to serve as a liaison with state and local governments for members. SC CAP Directors' Association advances the cause of the disadvantaged and those who serve them. It promotes the interest and increases the usefulness of member individuals and member agencies.
The function of the Directors' Association includes enhancing the professional development of individual members and promote the upgrading of their respective staff members. The Directors' Association promotes a better understanding of the problems of the poor among the citizens of South Carolina and aims to foster cohesive cooperation among the member agencies of the Association. Members of the Association also seek additional resources for the community action agencies in South Carolina. The Association works to promote mutual acquaintance and good fellowship among members and to further the objectives of the community action program.
